WELCOME TO SHICHI
Shichi means “glow” in sanskrit . “Chi” (Qi) is also life energy according to Chinese medicine. Energy and glow are the signs of good health and Shichi’s team is here to help you keep this precious balance.
Acupuncture, massages, reflexology and movement are all part of traditional holistic therapies such as Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda. Their efficacy has been experienced and valued for thousands of years.

Acupuncture
Acupuncture dates back more than 3000 years in China. It is an ancient medicine adapted for our modern world that can help alleviate pain, combat stress, and improve overall health. Needles are inserted into the skin to stimulate specific points on the body located along energetic pathways called Meridians.
The energy travelling along these meridians is called Qi. If disrupted, these pathways can become obstructed, deficient, or excessive. This is when illness or pain occurs. The needles help to restore the energy flow and balance to improve health or painful conditions by increasing the bodies ability to heal itself and be in harmony.
Manual techniques
Hippocrates, considered the “Father of Western Medecine”, famously wrote
"The physician must be experienced in many things, but assuredly in rubbing”.
No doubt this idea of his has been long forgotten in today’s medecine. At Shichi we dont have the ambition to cure any disease or give people any hopes, but we do believe in the benefits of soft tissues rubbing, a well intentioned touch, relaxation and movement to stay healthy and happy.
